The Mechanical Engineer conducts technical projects with a mechanical orientation from planning to implementation as well as supporting the robotic system development.
The Mechanical Engineer works closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan, ideate, support, design, industrialize, and verify mechanical or mechatronic subassemblies for the Surgical System, from product inception to final product, meeting clinical, safety and performance requirements.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of experience in robotic, mechatronic or machine building development in the medical device field.
Proven experiences in technical project management and in managing external partners for mechanical development.
Ability to rapidly design and realize proof of concept and functional prototypes, using rapid prototyping/additive manufacturing technologies.
DFM and DFA knowledge and experience.
Able to deliver documentation including drawings, design report, development plan, verification plan and reports.
Proficiency in parametric CAD, best on SOLIDWORKS.
Strong creative, analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Mechanical or Microtechnology engineering degree.
